Website Privacy Policy

1. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we collect the following categories of personal information (using the category names of the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act):

Forms. When you sign up for our newsletter or request a site assessment, the information you enter is sent to HubSpot, our CRM provider. The site assessment form asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number, property type and size, current annual maintenance cost, region, and any context you choose to add. If you have accepted Analytics cookies, HubSpot can link your submission to your earlier visits.

Analytics without cookies. If you decline Analytics, Google Analytics still receives cookieless page-view measurements with no visitor ID; your IP address is used once to estimate your country and is not stored. Details, including every cookie we set, are in our Cookie Policy.

Visitor identification. If you accept Analytics cookies, the website also loads Apollo.io’s website visitor tracker. Apollo records the pages you view, the referring site and campaign tags, and uses your IP address to identify the company you are visiting from. Apollo’s tracker also loads LiveIntent, an identity-resolution service that may match your browser to a hashed (encoded) version of your email address, which Apollo receives with your page visits. We use this for business-to-business sales and marketing, for example to learn which companies are interested in our services. Neither loads if you reject Analytics or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

People on customer sites. Our robots are not part of the website, but if you are on a site where Snowbotix operates, the robots’ sensors may incidentally capture you or your vehicle. We blur faces and license plates at capture, do not use facial recognition, and do not create biometric identifiers. That data is handled under the customer’s DPA and our Data Ownership & Processing statement: we treat it as the customer’s confidential information, never sell or share it, and use it only to operate and improve our services. Unredacted frames are kept for no more than thirty (30) days, or longer only under an incident legal hold, and sensor data is used to train our models across customers only after it has been redacted or de-identified.

2. How and why we use it

• To respond to inquiries and site assessment requests, and to provide information you ask for.
• To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the website.
• To send marketing communications where permitted, which you can opt out of at any time.
• To identify businesses and people who visit the website, for sales and marketing, where you have accepted Analytics cookies.
• To comply with law and enforce our terms.

3. How we disclose it

We disclose personal information to service providers and processors (for example, hosting, analytics, email, CRM, and sales-intelligence providers such as HubSpot and Apollo) that process it on our behalf under contract, and as required by law or in connection with a corporate transaction. 4. “Sale” and “sharing”; opt-out signals

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not use advertising cookies or social-media tracking. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent, and Google Analytics runs with advertising features switched off. With your Analytics consent, Apollo and LiveIntent may identify you or your company as described in section 1; this, and any other analytics use, may be treated as a “sale” or “share” under California and similar state laws, and you may opt out. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and similar browser-based opt-out preference signals as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing, and we treat them as a rejection of Analytics cookies for that browser or device. You may also use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Info” link in the footer of every page and our cookie controls.

5. Your privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to: know and access the personal information we hold about you; delete it; correct it; obtain a portable copy; opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. Some states also provide a right to appeal our decision on your request.

How to exercise your rights. Submit a request by email to privacy@snowbotix.com. We will verify your request using information we already hold. You may use an authorized agent with proof of authorization. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable as permitted).

6. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, then delete or de-identify it, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Security and transfers

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. If we transfer personal information across borders, we use appropriate safeguards.
